Núria Adroer participated in the First technical workshop conducted in Cordoba on ''Aggressive and corrosive phenomena associated with the water cycle: problems, costs and solutions“.

She presented the workshop in collaboration with the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Cordoba, representatives of AEAS, CEOCOR, College of chemists in Andalusia, and EMACSA.

The workday took place on November 10, 2011 and it dealt with the different problems generated by corrosion, as well as possible solutions, in all water cycle: supply, sanitation, desalination, regeneration and in industrial water circuits. Núria Adroer participated in the two round tables that took place and presented two papers, the first to present corrosion problems found in industrial plants and the second to present solutions and prevention of corrosion problems in such facilities, which can be carried out with the water treatment.

The titles of presented papers were:

• Corrosion in industrial cooling water.
• Water treatment. Prevention of corrosion problems.

The public participation and the debate that took place throughout the workday demonstrated the interest on this theme among the attendees.
