Adiquímica has developed a new range of products to clean ultrafiltration and microfiltration (UF/MF) membranes especially designed to recover membranes performance in cases when cleaning with generics are not effective anymore, thus prolonging membrane"s life and reducing operational cost.

We have published a study in Industria Química journal analyzing the case of some membranes installed in a recycling plant, which present a severe fouling of organic matter, calcium phosphate and calcium carbonate scales, as well as iron and aluminum-silicates deposits that significantly reduce ultrafiltration functionality as pre-treatment of a reverse osmosis system. The study let us follow the complete process, from the autopsy to the valuation of the cleaning process performed, observing that the fouling on the membrane surface is completely eliminated.
