Reutilization of process reject streams as make-up water in industrial cooling systems may lead to significant costs savings. However, it may introduce certain chemical species that require more complex water treatment to be implemented.

Adiquimica, presents a real – case study where technical and economical feasibility of using a side process water stream with high phosphate content as make-up water in a open cooling water system is evaluated through its software Adic-ionic.
