Origin and quality of input water in a cooling circuit, as well as restrictions in certain physico-chemical parameters resulting from the use of some materials in the circuit, condition the physico-chemical and microbiological treatment to implement.

Our treatments increase efficiency of facilities and extend their useful life

The implementation of an optimal cooling water treatment prevents loss of thermal performance and extends useful life of facilities. For this reason, we have available a wide range of products which have broadly proven effectiveness in industrial environments. Furthermore, in order to ensure a proper hygienic-sanitary control of facilities with risk of Legionella proliferation, we have available many biocides certified by the Ministry of Health and Consumption for this use as well. Thus, we are able to maintain an optimal microbiological water quality in the installation during operation.

In order to achieve the optimal functioning of cooling circuits, we carry out chemical cleanings in some cases. Chemical cleanings are previous to the start-up of cooling circuits and, if needed, to the implementation of a new maintenance treatment and they are carried out by applying the most suitable chemical products for the installation to be treated.

Products to maintain circuits in optimal operating conditions

Our goal is to maintain cooling circuits free of sparingly soluble salts scaling, to minimize corrosion phenomena in water circulation lines and to avoid microbiological growth problems. For this reason, our products range includes antiscaling and salts and metal oxides dispersant formulates, anticorrosive formulates (both anodic and cathodic or dual and specific for yellow metals), products of combined antiscaling-anticorrosive effect, products to carry out chemical cleanings and biocides and biodispersant agents to minimize microbiological growth in any point of the installation and avoid biofilm formation.

Customized cooling water treatments

The design of the optimal treatment for your installation requires a study of water behaviour in the circuit and its effect on the circuit’s materials. The study is complex and it requires knowledge of the interaction of the different species present in water through the law of physicochemical equilibria. In Adiquímica, we have the knowledge and we make it available to you with our software and our specific equipments for cooling circuits.

We use specific equipments and software for the study, monitoring, and control of the chemical treatment in your cooling circuit to counteract the scaling or corrosive potential of water and increase its disinfectant potential. We maintain set or nominal values and design performance at all times for a proper preservation of materials in the circuit in order to increase useful lifetime of the installation.

We have available different ranges of equipments developed with our own technology to control and manage physicochemical parameters (pH, conductivity, free residual chlorine, ORP…) in cooling water installations or to monitor and control specific biocides, among others.

Moreover, we have developed our own softwares, which are specific to cooling circuits and determine optimal operating conditions for the circuit in order to avoid sparingly soluble salts scaling on heat transfer surfaces and metal oxidation problems. Estimations, based on solving complex systems of equations, define the optimal operational scenario from the cooling water treatment that better suits the circuit”s needs and the establishment of the recommended blowdown regime.

Adiconline FQ

Complete solution for the measurement, control and record of the main operational parameters in industrial cooling circuits. The equipment is customizable according to the needs and characteristics of each concrete case and, optionally, it can integrate a data acquisition module (Adicontrol Web) for remote inquiry of the installation state via internet in real time.

Adiconline 1352M

Equipment for the measurement and control of the non-oxidant biocide Adiclene 1352M concentration in cooling circuits. The equipment, based on our own technology, is customizable and adapts to the needs and characteristics of the concrete circuit(s). Adiconline 1352M incorporates a Data-logger module that allows daily records of biocide in the installation according to the current regulation.


Control, management and expert supervision equipment of chemical treatment implementation in a concrete installation. Adicontrol allows connection with local controllers of the main operational parameters in a cooling or steam generation circuit (pH, conductivity, free chlorine, redox potential and level of antiscalant active principle) and its integration in a management module governed by ADIC applicative. This applicative acts as the treatment’s supervision system as it generates tend graphs and calculates variances and key process indicators (KPI) in order to perform the appropriate corrective actions to redirect the treatment if needed.

Dosing pumps

Essential elements to implement any chemical treatment. Their structure depends on the type of fluid to treat and the operational parameters (flow and backpressure). Dosing pumps can be governed by Adiconline and Adicontrol range equipments for integration in control laws defined to implement treatments.



Adic is an application designed to facilitate the implementation of monitoring and control main operating parameters. It has a database where all analyzes are stored and provides graphical tools which allow analyse themeasured parameter evolution and predict trends.

It also includes a powerfuk knowledge base – generated Adiquimica accumulated experience in water treatment sector- that, depending on the results of analysis performed, automatically suggests corrective actions when it is required.

Optionally, it is distributed with:

  • Adicheck: Application for managing revisions at facility elements(equipments, pumps, filters…) which can generate and maintain a informatic record of their functioning.
  • Adicontrol: Application for monitoring and remote control of equipment installed.


Adic-ionic is a powerful software tool that combines a resolution algorithm of a several equations system describing chemical and ionic balances in a certain type of water and an expert system, where Adiquimica experience is collected in water treatment sector. This application aims to recommend, in industrial cooling circuits, product(s) and most appropriate dose for inhibiting scale formation of sparingly soluble salts into the system, control corrosion phenomena in recirculating water streams and prevent microbiological development in areas at risk.

Adic-ionic simulates water behavior in an evaporative cooling circuit, and predicts scaling risk into the system. Thereby, from a iterative calculation, Adi-ionic allows determine the optimal operating concentration factor to minimize feed water consumption maintaining supersaturation indexes below the maximum allowable limits. Similarly, and depending on the more restrictive metal presence in the circuit, Adic-Ionic also includes the presence of species with corrosive effect on calculation of optimal operating concentration factor.
