The EDS (European Desalination Society) Congress was held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 20th to 23rd June. The latest research and developments in desalination and water treatment were presented to meet the future objectives of sustainable development, focused on optimising the drinking water supply at an affordable economic and energy cost.
Adiquimica, which is committed to innovation, knowledge, and sustainability, was a promoter of this event, as it did in previous editions, and also participated by presenting a technical paper at the event. We were in the exhibition area with a stand located in Sala San Borondon A, floor -3, Stand number 14 of the Palacio de Congresos de Canarias. During the Congress, many clients and people interested in what we could offer them visited us.
On Wednesday 22nd in the afternoon, we presented a technical lecture called “ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY LIQUID CLEANER FOR COST-EFFECTIVE REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE CLEANING“. In this lecture, we presented a new liquid cleaner named ADICLEAN 202, from our Adicgreen range, with a minimum environmental impact, optimal for the cleaning of reverse osmosis installations, and very effective in solving problems of fouling by colloidal material and/or biofouling, in this type of installations. We were also co-chair of a technical session of the Congress, thus seeing our prestige recognized in the desalination world.
This Congress was held in honour of Miriam Balaban, an icon in the desalination world, and Adiquimica had the opportunity and the privilege of congratulating her in person. It was a very pleasant conversation, and we were able to communicate our respect and admiration for her excellent professional work.
